'Supernatural': Misha Collins and Jim Beaver will return in Season 6
Rest assured, "Supernatural" fans. The CW and Warner Bros have officially confirmed to Zap2it that fan-favorite actors Misha Collins (Castiel) and Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer) are expected to join Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on episodes of "Supernatural" next season. In the Season 5 finale, the both characters were killed -- Castiel exploded like an over-filled water balloon, and Lucifer snapped Bobby's neck. Of course, since this is "Supernatural," they were resurrected minutes later. Castiel headed back to heaven to "be the new sheriff in town," and when Dean and Bobby said goodbye, it was made clear that it was "the last [they] would see of each other for a very long time."
When Season 6 begins, Dean has retired from hunting and, after making a promise to uphold Sam's dying wish, sworn never to go back to that life. Sam, who has somehow escaped from Lucifer's cage, will have to convince him to get back on the road to deal with the aftermath of the battle between Heaven and Hell.
Luckily, they'll have their father figure Bobby on their side, and Castiel's newly-regained angel powers should come in handy as well.

No x infinity.
Worst news since swineflu. Why do they need Castiel back? He's totally unnecessary now the apocalypse is over. I'd rather gouge my own eye out than watch him deadpan and suck screentime away from The Winchesters. Uhh no no no, Bobby is logical, Castiel hell no. Have some guts writers and stop making moves because you're afraid of how the fans will react, rest assured many of us would have been fine with his exploding demise.

Love Misha Collins. Love Castiel. Glad to have him back officially. I trust they'll find something awesome to do with him!! There's so much greatness to explore with this character and his relationship to the Winchesters and even Bobby!!
Congrats Misha!
Woohooo!!!!!!! So happy Misha Collins is back. Without him, Supernatural would not be must see TV anymore. He revitalized the show when he appeared in Season 4 and makes the most of every moment he is on the screen. So thrilled! Thanks CW!
Well, at least it just says episodes, so hopefully Castiel won't be shoehorned into all of them.
YAY for more Castiel! I'm tired of Bobby, he's gotten on my last nerve this past season, but I loved the addition of Castiel/Misha Collins, and I am eager to see more of Dean and Cass together! Best pairing on this show, ever!
Thanks for the awesome news!
This is fantastic news! Castiel brought a whole new level of epic to the show, and I would have been very disappointed if he did not return for the sixth season. He's an honorary Winchester now, and the show would not be nearly as good without him.
And yay for more Bobby!
I'm glad Misha will be back. I'm not thrilled Bobby is back. I can only hope that Cas will be used better than he was in season 5 and I'm hoping the writers will at least give us more Dean and Cas interaction. The chemistry between those two is amazing and I hated the way the show tried to give Cas to Sam. They keep giving Dean's stuff to Sam and giving Cas to Sam was a stupid move.
If the show is to try to overcome the failure of season 5, can they at least try to fix what they kept breaking?
