Rob Lowe IS Brad Pitt on 'Californication'
Rob Lowe's gift for comedy was reintroduced to the world on "Parks and Recreation" this month, and he'll get to show it off some more on the upcoming season of Showtime's "Californication."The picture above made us laugh out loud, so he's off to a good start.
Lowe will guest on "Californication's" fourth season as movie star Eddie Nero, who's interested in playing Hank Moody (David Duchovny) in a movie adaptation of Hank's novel. Resemblances to Brad Pitt are not coincidental -- Showtime name-checks Pitt in a press release accompanying the first peek at Lowe in character. (Also? Well-done to Lowe and the "Californication" hair, makeup and wardrobe departments. It's spot on.)
Hank is hired to adapt his own novel, which means that run-ins between him and Eddie are likely. Lowe is booked for three episodes of the series, which returns later this year.
Lowe is also likely to appear on more episodes of "Parks and Rec" next season (the show has a midseason debut date). He left ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" at the end of this season with his character, Robert McCallister, having just been badly injured in a car crash.

For the record, Rob Lowe's gift for comedy has been well established since at least Tommy Boy.
rob looks cleaner was he playing a homeless man or a bum
That is some resemblance! Californication has been one of my all-time favorite show's and this is looking like the best season yet. Unfortunately it's been hard to keep up with lately (because of my personal schedule, luckily I'm a DISH Network subscriber/employee so I've been recording the episodes on my DVR and with the TV everywhere app on my i-phone I can watch them on my lunch break. I love having that app, especially when I travel! I can't wait to see Rob Lowe in Californication.
