'One Tree Hill': Willing to bet we won't lose Clay come fall, fingers crossed for Quinn too
"One Tree Hill" ended Season 7 with a literal bang Monday (May 17) night. Two actually. The series, as all devoted viewers know, is a big fan of the psychotic violent types coming in and messing up the calm, so it's no surprise that its latest lunatic shot both Clay and Quinn just before the closing credits rolled.Okay, fine, I audibly gasped when it happened. So it was a little surprising. And I did send show creator Mark Schwahn a message this morning with the following subject line: "You b**tard, you killed Clay!"
Sorry, I just saw an old "South Park" ep.
But, the fact is, there's no way Clay is dead.
First good sign? Robert Buckley, who plays Clay, is in New York for The CW's Upfront presentations as we speak.
I'm assuming he wouldn't be celebrating the show's 11th hour pick up -- along with the pick up of "Life Unexpected" as well!! -- if he was getting killed off.
Now, I can't report the same for Shantel VanSanten (Quinn) -- I'm not sure if she's in attendance for the festivities or not -- though we simply must hope and pray that nothing happened to that beyond phenomenal physique of hers which "OTH" put on full display during the finale. Fingers crossed that wasn't her swan song.

save clay and quin we want a full sesaon8!
With the way things are going for Haley, I think it would be a bad storyline to have her sister dead as well as her Mom so I am *hoping* they survive or it was a bad dream someone was having, etc.
I really hope they both live. I love Clay and Quinn and a season 8 without them is no good. So fingers crossed.
SO excited that OTH got another season!! It deserves it more than any other show. And I truly hope that both Clay & Quinn live. They are such amazing new characters.. we just can't lose them!
It would be depressing if Quinn died, mostly because of what it would do to Haley. She's just recovering from her depression and happy about the pregnancy, so she would be devastated to lose Quinn. Plus, not fair to kill off Clay's wife AND his girlfriend.
bring back Peyton for season 8. lucas can be off filming or brooding!
Yeah if anyone of them dies than its gonna be heartbreaking. They should instead leave one of them in a coma for like half the season and than wake up to their loved one already moved on.
Killing off Quinn is best for the One Tree Hill story, which is the important thing. It opens many more possibilities, such as a complete breakdown for Haley and Clay, as opposed to the run-of-the-mill lovey-dovey everything's-gonna-be-alright schtick.
Bring back Dan and Deb to add to the craziness, too. There's way, way too much harmony right now for a soap opera.
So surprised when they both got shot! I think Quinn will live because Haley has already just had 1 tragedy in her family and in these sort of programmes it just doesn't work like that. Lets face it, its not 24 or anything!
