'Nikita' peek: The CW takes aim at retooling assassin tale
"Nikita" is bringing danger to The CW on Thursdays.Nikita (Maggie Q) was given a new lease on life as a teenager when the Division rescued her from death row and then trained her as a spy and assassin. After she was betrayed though, she went rogue, hiding out for three years. Now she's back, ready to take them down, but the Division has already been training its next crop of young killers.
We're actually pretty psyched for "Nikita." Not only are we happy to see the gorgeous Maggie Q (a kick-ass female Asian in a lead role!) in the spotlight, but we think The CW needs to add more action to their lineup.
Check out Maggie Q in action:

Looks like a good show! I'm a fan of USA's La Femme Nikita, and this feels like it will have a similar tone. Very exciting.
Seems pretty good, but I'm not sure it really fits in with the rest of the The CW shows, which considering their ratings is probably a good thing.
I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!! it looks like such a good show!!!!!
Alright, I will check out the pilot. It certainly looks better than the other new show CW has on slate.
How dare they move supernatural for this gay *** show! This show looks gay!
It takes a lot more then casting token asian B-list star to "retool" an old story. And that clip was horrible.
I like the shows of CW and love them all but having a remake of La Femme NIKITA is beyond me theres a lot of talented writers and they have good scripts having this one sucks because the original cannot be compared to anything that is a remake.
What the HELL?!?! I know Maggie Q can do better stunt work then that(just look at every action movie she's ever made). CW needs to hire better stunt/action coordinators because if that's the best action sequence they can come up with... it's going to be a huge disappointment. A better director wouldn't hurt either.
They should have brought Peta Wilson back in the madeline role.
You guys, it's the pilot episode. They're still working out the kinks. TV shows only get better after the cast has gotten a chance to feel each other out. Except the cast of Friends. They had it from day one. Amazing chemistry. This show looks promising. I may have to check it out since it airs right after one of my favorite shows, The Vampire Diaries. However, it does air against Grey's Anatomy and I've been watching that since the first episode. No DVR......what to do?
