NBC picks up 'Chase' for new season
"Chase" has joined the growing NBC lineup.The new drama from Jerry Bruckheimer is the latest scripted show the network has picked up, Angela Bromstad, NBC primetime chief announced Monday (May 10).
"Chase," which centers on a team of U.S. marshals that hunt down dangerous fugitives, stars Kelli Giddish as U.S. Marshal Annie Frost, a Texan who uses her roots and boots to help her track down the criminals.
Also part of the team are "Desperate Housewives" alum Jesse Metcalfe, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco and Rose Rollins.
"'Chase' has all the undeniable elements of a thrill ride that you would expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer action series," says Bromstad. "Equally important, it also features a great cast Kelli Giddish is a breakout star as the lead."
Hmm, Giddish was supposed to be the breakout star for FOX's "Past Life," which was unceremoniously yanked from the schedule, presumably not to be reincarnated.
Besides "Chase," NBC previously announced they were picking up "Undercovers," "The Event," "Love Bites," and "Outsourced."

Sorry- don't like Kelli Giddish but maybe I'll give it a look since it is Jerry Bruckheimer
They'll end up canceling it after four-five episodes anyway.

There are already two pretty good shows on with marshals. In Plain Sight and Justified
The sad thing is if this show was on CBS, it would instantly be a top 10 hit. And if it were on CBS, I wouldn't watch it.
Because it's on NBC, I am more apt to watch it...but it will get low ratings & be canceled.
Just because it's on NBC I won't watch it.
To be honest, somebody needs to give NBC and Angela Bromstad a f**kin' clue. For the most part, Love Bites and Outsourced should already be canceled; however, Undercovers, Chase and The Event sound pretty good.
Not gonna lie.. Pretty excited to see Jesse Metcalf in a show again.. HOTT HOTT HOTT!!!! Just saw him in the About Face coffee table book the other day.

The show is the same as in plain sight, not watching. In plain sight is wayyyyyy better
