'My Generation': Preview ABC's documentary-style ensemble dramedy

my-generation.jpg"My Generation" is a faux-documentary about a group of high school students and where they are in their lives 10 years after they graduated.

It stars Michael Stahl-David ("The Black Donnellys"), Kelli Garner ("Lars and the Real Girl"), Jaime King ("The Class"), Keir O'Donnell ("Sons of Anarchy"), Sebastian Sozzi ("Choke"), Mehcad Brooks ("The Deep End," "True Blood"), Anne Son ("Wake"), Daniella Alonso ("Friday Night Lights") and Julian Morris ("24," "ER"). "My Generation" was created and written by Noah Hawley ("The Unusuals," "Bones"), who is also an executive producer.

What a difference ten years can make. In 2000, a documentary crew follows a disparate group of high schoolers from Greenbelt High School in Austin, TX as they prepare for graduation, then revisits these former classmates ten years later as they return home to rediscover that just because they're not where they planned doesn't mean they're not right where they need to be.

These students couldn't wait to graduate and head out into the real world. But the world they were entering got very real very fast. As these classmates return home to revisit their old hopes for their future, they'll discover that, even if you don't get exactly what you thought you wanted out of life, it's not too late to get what you need.

Check out these preview clips and let us know if you'll be tuning in to "My Generation." It will hit the air in the fall as the "Grey's Anatomy" lead-in, 8 p.m. ET on Thursday nights on ABC.

I'll check this one out.

Oh, look, another show using the vomit-cam. Undoubtedly Hawley hasn't gotten over the "frustrated auteur" phase from film school. Here's a clue: making part of your audience physically ill is not edgy or meaningful. It only proves you're too cheap to buy a good tripod and use professional shooting techniques.
