'Jersey Shore' cast shakeup: New cast members may join Season 2
The plot thickens as news of a cast shakeup on MTV's "Jersey Shore" has been causing waves.First, BlackBook magazine reported that the entire cast is being dropped for Season 3 and current casting seeks to replace the crew with new guidos and guidettes.
It seemed plausible, since the magazine had just interviewed the show's casting director, Doron Ofrir.
Now, Zap2it has learned the real story.
"The BlackBook magazine story is not accurate," an MTV spokesperson tells us. "We have started general casting for 'Jersey Shore' Season 2 in case we want to explore the option of bringing on new cast members."
There you have it, folks. The current cast may have to stock more booze when they return to Seaside Heights in July to pick up shooting and possibly a few new roomies.
Season 2 of "Jersey Shore" premieres on July 29 on MTV.

Hmmm not sure if replacing the whole cast is such a wise decision... it's the cast that made the show work in the first place - not the premise.
