'Hellcats' brings cheerleading to The CW

"Hellcats" is one of the networks two new shows for the fall that brings the competitive world of college cheerleading into our homes.

The story revolves around Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka) who goes to Lancer University in Memphis, Tennessee for pre-law. When she loses her scholarship though, she has no other option than to try and win a spot on the cheerleading team, The Hellcats, or drop out.

In the clip, you'll also see a couple familiar faces like "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale (not a blonde!) as Marti's roommate Savannah and Matt Barr ("One Tree Hill," "Harper's Island") as Dan Patch.

Take a look:



It doesn't look quite like "Bring It On," but we get the feeling that since it's paired with "America's Next Top Model" on Wednesdays, it will soon pick up the fierceness.

I dislike the cw and all their shows; however, a bunch of females shaking their azzes to music has already got me hooked.

Huh. Well it looks like they took "Legally Blonde," then smashed it together with "Bring it on," and sprinkled a little "Glee" on top for seasoning. It honestly could work, even though that clip was painfully dull.

Congrats CW!
Now with Hellcats getting greenlit for a CW series run, does this mean Gail O’Grady will now have money and enough fame to stop taking money from nice guys, to only turn and make up stories about being “stalked” or “in fear of her life”?
Is Gail O’Grady going to stop using her innocent son as a prop for sick publicity stunts? She has now embarrassed her son’s school by making up a story about Beverly Hills elementary school has stalkers lurking trying to pick up their kindergarten students. Yet she never reported it to the school just to the tabloids.
Wow, Gail must have been in great fear.
What a whack job!
This was all for her and her P.I’s 3 paragraphs of “fame” on the back webpage of a crappy tabloid.
When is the lawsuit by Church going to be filed?
Why didn’t the Beverly Hills Police Dept. arrest Gail O’Grady for filing a false report? When is Gail O’Grady going to fess up, apologize and admit she needs help and is a compulsive liar and con artist?
She posts on her Facebook page Hellcats is “Gail’s pilot”…
Really? Really?!.
One or two scenes portraying yourself and its now “your pilot”.
Does Kevin and Tom know this?
Gail O’Grady, Get a life, Please Go to Canada and get away from the family.
