Greyson Michael Chance on 'Ellen': Lady Gaga calls the 'Paparazzi' prodigy

greyson-michael-chance-ellen-degeneres.jpgViral video sensation Greyson Michael Chance (and possibly the next Justin Bieber?) was flown out to Los Angeles to appear on the Thursday, May 13 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Ellen DeGeneres surprises 12-year-old Greyson with a phone call from Lady Gaga, which is possibly the coolest thing ever. Greyson is just tickled and Gaga advises him to stay focused and stay away from girls. Hee!

He tells Ellen that flying to LA was his first flight and he's still pretty amazed at what is happening to him. When asked about the girls that love him, Greyson kind-of giggles,"Let's just say I've gotten a couple of numbers."

He then gives a live performance of his cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi." He's so adorable, what a great story for this kid. In the span of like three days he's become a celebrity, meeting Ellen DeGeneres and talking to Lady Gaga on the telephone. Crazy.

that not jb

Gotta admit I'm a little jealous. Sixth grade. Post video online. Fly over to LA. Interview by Ellen. Phone call with famous superstar/inspiration. Greyson, dude, you got it.

t is up with ALL the spam lately?

This is one of many reason why the music industry is scared of the Internet.

Who needs record companies anymore with the Internet??

Bieber isn't nearly as likable as this kid, Greyson. I wish him the best of luck.

I disagree with "Goodluck Kid" here in the replies... Justin Bieber is very likeable. Bieber seems like an honestly nice and good person... very friendly and always polite. Definately someone parents can feel safe about their kids admiring.

People really need to give Justin a break and quit ripping on him (not saying you did, just sharing a thought to all reading).

I think he did a great cover of the song, but I can definitely hear that he's taking chest voice up too high, which is causing that shouting when he has to go up to higher notes. You can hear the stress too with the breathy release, since it sounds like his voice is breaking out of the shouting stress. Watch his neck as well. Alot of stress in the neck when you watch.
He's talented, but you can tell he hasn't had voice lessons. Some of those and he'd be in business, because nobody wants him to lose his voice because of that. Someone so talented should not be pushed out of the game too soon, and he's young, so he's got time.
