'Glee' Producer Ryan Murphy talks Billy Joel, Jesse St. James' agenda
"Glee" is kind of hot right now.
Huge secret, I know.
Seems Britney Spears isn't the only celebrity campaigning to be a part of it.
"Every day a new artist writes or calls and says they want to do the show or they call and ask for the DVDs. It's really sweet," executive producer Ryan Murphy tells Korbi TV in the video interview below.
So, is there anyone on Murphy's short list?
"We talk about Billy Joel now and again," he shares. "We love him. A Billy Joel episode would be great."
But at the end of the day, "Glee" is really about the storylines, not the guest stars and big name fans, so I had to ask, do they love this Jesse St. James character? Can we trust him?
Ryan's immediate reaction?
"No."

As you'll see Ryan point out, Jonathan Groff, who plays St. Sexy, is the sweetest boy on the planet, so I'm thinking he's sticking around...

If Glee isn't about the big name guest stars, someone needs to tell the writers that. It's return has been hijacked by stunts and big name guest stars with not much attention being paid to the storylines or characters.
Are the stars so cheap they can't go buy their own DVDs? Some of them probably need the shot in the arm of their songs being featured - anything the show sings becomes popular.
no groff - as much as I like him - we need happy Rachel and Finn - they need to ride off into the sunset for a bit. Can't Jessie be gay and be kurt's new man!! I am in TOTAL support of that - they would be cute together :)
YAY!!! I am so thrilled to hear that Jesse St. James (aka the AMAZING JG) is going to be back next season! Though he is probably not being completely forthcoming about his motives, I just love his character. He adds a whole other layer to the show, not to mention a truly phenomenal voice! And honestly, I kinda love him and Rachel together, despite liking Finn. I love how he calls her out on her crazy, and at the same time really embraces what is also really important to her: singing and being a star. Plus JG and Lea, being such great friends in real life and having played lovers before on Broadway, have such fantastic, natural chemistry. My hope is that what he originally set out to do gets complicated as he actually falls for her. Because that would really be interesting I think! But yes, Ryan and Ian, please, please, PLEASE bring Jesse back for Season 2!!!
I don't care what Jesse's motives are, I just want more of Jonathan Groff!!!! :D
