Diva behavior, rumored affairs, the Newsweek saga and an over-exposed cast... is a Glee backlash brewing?
Here's a really interesting blog piece on the growing Glee backlash - and how the show's makers can keep the show on top for seasons to come...
I hope that next year we can get away from the gimmick guest stars, directors, and themes of the week and get back to the show the way it was last fall.
When, oh when, is TV Gal returning? I miss Amy's column/wit a LOT!!
I want to see who Joss kills tonight :)
TV Gal column is suppose to return next month (June).
Rick, TV shows have different directors all the time. The fact that big name talent directors like Joss Whedon want to direct episodes of 'Glee' says a hell of a lot about the quality and caliber of the show. It is in no way, as you put it, "a gimmick." It's a stamp of awesomeness.
What an episode! Neil Patrick Harris can SING! His duet of "Dream On" with Matthew Morrison was amazing. And our prayers to the Glee gods were answered. Idina Menzel is Lea Michelle's mom. Love it!!! Keep em coming.
Given that Joss Whedon is the master of making viewers run away from their TV screens the next week, look for Glee to drop off next week.
Of course, losing American Idol as a lead-in may have something to do with it too.
FOX is engaging in a PR exercise to try and pass off Glee, with its 60% retention of American Idol as a hit.
If Glee is a hit, then NBC made a really, really bad decision not hanging on to Family Guy and Joey...
Once again, Rena proves she's a ducking fumbass.
