TV of Tomorrow: Fall TV Preview 2010

Fall 2010 TV schedule, night by night

jim-parsons-big-bang-theory-320.jpgNow that ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, and The CW have all put their cards on the table, the Fall 2010 TV schedule is locked down.

Some big changes are coming -- particularly at NBC, where Jay Leno freed up five hours of primetime realty by moving back into his "Tonight Show" seat. With 13 new pickups (eight for fall and five more for midseason), NBC hopes to recover from a year full of media scrutiny and audience criticism.

In a surprising move, CBS made the decision to move their most-watched comedy, "The Big Bang Theory," to 8 p.m. Thursdays, challenging NBC's Thursday night comedy block. Following that at 8:30 p.m. is the first ever television show whose title can not be said on air, the hotly anticipated Twitter-based "$#*! My Dad Says" with William Shatner.

After a successful 2009-2010 season, FOX has opted not to change things up too much; one new drama and two comedies will join its fall schedule. The CW, for the first time ever, will be offering 10 hours of original programming Monday through Friday.

Here's the full broadcast prime-time schedule for fall. Mouse over each day to see the grid.

This is not very intuitive.

Thanks ABC for putting No Ordinary Family on opposite NCIS & Glee. Nice way to kill a promising new show. Idiots!!!!

NBC's new programming strategy: Throw $h!+ at the wall and see what sticks.

Looks like it is finally time to break down and buy cable TV.

Putting CSI New York up against Supernatural on Friday night is a defient reason I probably won't be watching it next season. I really only watched it because there was nothing else on after Criminal Minds on wed nights.

And being an advid NASCAR fan ensures that given the chance to watch NASCAR or CSI Miami, NASCAR wins every time no matter how much I love CSI Miami.

Did they cancel Ghost Whisperer..?? Why is it NOT on this grid..????

Now that Lost is finished and except for Survivor, it looks like more lousy programming to me. Why don't the bring back Kings. At least it was interesting. If anything new comes up, I fear it will be some spin off of one of those lame vampire stories where men are strong and women are pathetic and weak. What is this, compensation for loss of accomplishment and status among white males?

OMG, if DVR was not invented i would be screwed. Why is everyone changing their time slots? What was wrong with the way it used to be?!

Dancing with the stars AGAIN. Good grief get it off.

Well, Moving CSI: NY To Fridays is a sure sign that it will be cancelled by Seasons end. Thanks For moving My 2 CSI Shows, Now I got to get used to them being on a different night. I also feel that the Big bang theory should have stayed on Monday. Having 2 and a half men and big bang theory was the best night of comedy, now It's all Screwed up. Thanks CBS.
