Emmy Awards 2010: Joel Mchale, Sofia Vergara to announce nominations

joel-mchale-sofia-vergara-gi-320.jpgJoel McHale and Sofia Vergara will bring the funny -- well at least be pretty to look at -- come Emmy nomination morning.

The "Community" and "Modern Family" sitcom stars have been tapped to announce the nominations for the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards on Thursday, July 8 at 5:30 a.m. PT, the Television Academy announced Wednesday (May 12).

They'll join the Academy's CEO John Shaffner at the Goldensom Theatre in Los Angeles.

It's no guarantee, but it's often the case that at least one of the people nominated is also one of the announcers. Our bets are on John Shaffner.

The Emmys will air live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Aug. 29 beginning 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Jimmy Fallon is hosting.

kiefer sutherland better be nominated this year for his brilliant performance... again... its a crime he wasnt nominated last year... and he better win... there is no better actor right now on tv... michael c hall may be the second best... buit sutherland is the best

Joel McHale SHOULD be nominated ("Community" was by far the best comedy launch this season), but Modern Family has the ratings...I'm guessing Sofia will get a supporting actress nom?
