'Dancing With the Stars': Miley Cyrus (and hair) 'Can't Be Tamed'
Miley Cyrus channeled her best pre-Federline Britney Spears during her "Dancing With the Stars" elimination show performance Tuesday (May 18) night.Donning sexy gear similar to what she wears in her official video, the untameable Cyrus did the first TV performance for her latest single live on "DWTS." Smoke bellowed from both sides of the stage while her entourage of wild animal back-up dancers surrounded her during the 3-minute performance.
The image was all Britney -- but unlike the former reining pop princess, Cyrus' dancing was minimal. However, the performance as a whole was definitely entertaining (she worked it), and we have to give props to the 17-year-old starlet for keeping her balance while strutting around in those dangerous-looking high heel boots.
After she finished, host Tom Bergeron had a message for previous "DWTS" contestant Billy Ray Cyrus: "Billy Ray, your little girl's growin' up!"
That's one way to put it, Tom.

I have seen post from a few people who were there and they seems to really like it and said she actually sang, not auto-tuned or lip-synced, just a intermittent background track.
Personally From what I saw on TV she was good, but I have seen Britney since she was on MMC and Miley is different. She Miley and no one else so stop trying to compare. People who feel the need to compare entertainers to one another, usually can't express themselves very well and should get out of the business. Talk about the person in question as if no one else exist and therefore there is no one else to compare to, then you can give an honest, believable opinion.
Very disappointing! She had her own style and now she is a Brit wanna-be? and whats with the lips singing? Nothing real or suprising here, just bad moves and lack of singing...Miley, you have much more to give than this...!
Umm sweetheart let me just tell you that was not lyp syncing.. Im sorry to break it to u. as much as U may hate her. Theres no way u can say she was when the evidence is clearly visible to show she is ACTUALLY singing something our dear britney did not have guts to do... And i suggest u stop trying to put her done. Its making u look foolish and stubborn,this was a fantastic performance and your stupidity and hatred cant change that

My advice to her if she wants to be a sultry...sexy big girl now she needs to give herself more time to develop some hips first! She is still shaped like a 12 yr old. Unfortunately her 12 yr old body...CAN'T BE TAMED!!!!
God love her - someone tell her that she doesn't have to leap from 'tween to teen to slut - there are a couple of stages in between that she could probably succeed in first. Slow down Miley - it's not a race.
i thought her performance was spicey and sexy agian but she killed it and mariah carey always had a great voice her voice was always pure and she never used auto tune she always used her normal voice her career was always 100 percent at the top and it will stay their for ever i would do miley any time all she has to do is hit me up on my cell and ill **** her anytime her fat butty.
Lack of singing? It's clearly live my darling and if you can't differentiate one from a lip-sync, you might as well quit your job. She did a phenomenal job out there. Her voice has been "tamed". Yes, her voice is very unconventional but it does not mean she can't sing.
I am utterly digusted. This is a young lady (not sure I can even call her that anymore) that other young ladies in the U.S. look up to. And this is how she chooses to portray herself? Filthy. I would think her mother and father would say something to her and that she might have possibly learned from Brittney's previous mistakes. Gross. Absolutely trash and that is not appealing.
Why compare her on a completely different artist? Young Britney Spears was more towards what I call "candy-pop" music while Miley has fiercer approach to her music. There is a lot more to hear on both sides that are incomparable to the other.
