'Dancing With the Stars': Julie Chen picks Nicole Scherzinger for the win

julie-chen-big-brother.jpgJulie Chen has a horse in the race to the "Dancing With the Stars" finish line ... though the show isn't on her network, which her husband happens to run.

Admitting she has "never seen an episode," the wife of CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves still has taken in lots of information about the ABC contest -- which ends tonight (Tuesday, May 25) -- in her weekday role as a co-host of CBS' "The Early Show."

"It is covered so much, on 'The Insider' and on 'Entertainment Tonight' and in the tabloids, I know enough," Chen tells Zap2it in making her "Dancing" prediction. "I'm kind of rooting for Nicole Scherzinger, because just from the little I've seen, she's a pro.

"And it's kind of not fair, because with what she did for a living before she came into this competition [as a member of music's Pussycat Dolls], it's kind of the same thing. I mean, you're a pop singer and you have videos and you dance in them. She's amazing, though, and she deserves to win."

As for the other major televised contest that ends this week, Chen says she has "no idea who's in the running" to be the next "American Idol" on FOX. "I usually keep up a little bit, just because it's what people are talking about, but I don't feel like people are talking about it as much."

Chen hopes conversation will be plentiful about season 12 of CBS' "Big Brother" once the new housemates go inside Thursday, July 8.

"I can't compare it to something like 'American Idol' or 'Dancing With the Stars,'" she maintains of the show she hosts, "though we all fall under the umbrella 'reality television,' and I don't think that's going away anytime soon. It's about human nature, and people love to watch other people."

Go Maks & Erin I Hope You Win Big.

Go Maks & Erin I Hope You Win Big.

I been saying, lets get Julie for DWTS.

Last night's part 1 of the finale left things pretty much unsettled. Erin was just stellar enough and both Nicole and Evan were just shaky enough to make things a draw. The final 2 dances and judges scores tonight may break what promises to be tight voting. Phone lines for all three were slammed. It took me the full alloted amount of time to get in my votes. And the website voting was just as chaotic!

Please, don't ever put Pamela Anderson on your show!! She was disgusting. She thinks she's sexy, she acts like she's on drugs or something and spaced out. She looked trashy and not a respectable person for the dancing part.

Nicole never should have won. The show was rigged. It's not fair for other competitors who worked on learning how to dance when all Nicole does is do what she does for a living and wins! Shame on the network for casting her! and shame on the judges for giving her the same scores as people who have never danced for a career before! Ive never been so upset about a reality show before.

We have always loved DWTS, but I am through watching it if they bring any more professional dancers like Nicole on and put her up against people like Buzz Aldrin or anyone else who has not had a career in dance !! It is not a true contest and it's just too bad the fans didn't use their power to vote the "ringer" off.
