'Dancing With the Stars' elimination: Niecy Nash finally gets to sleep

niecy-nash-elimination2.jpgBack when Zap2it interviewed  Louis Van Amstel and Niecy Nash at the beginning of the "Dancing With the Stars" season, they both individually mentioned that Nash's hectic schedule left her little time for sleep.

Her sleep deprivation was also the subject of a segment aired during Monday's (May 10) show.

Well, it looks like she'll finally have time to pencil in some z's.

Nash was perhaps predictably the one to go on Tuesday's elimination show. She had the lowest score going into the night (43 out of 60) and arguably the weakest technique of the remaining contestants.

But what Nash definitely had going for her throughout the competition was her vivacious personality. While many of her jokes did seem to get frequently recycled (the "Dance Center segment on tonight's show poked fun at her repeated mention of her "jiggly parts"), she still managed to make us laugh each week.

Her parting words to her fellow contestants and fans included her expressing pride in the fact that she was "able to survive in this competition this long against some fantastic people -- and with the fact that I cannot hula hoop with a cheerio." Yeah, we've heard that joke before too, but that's ok. It's still pretty funny (and got some laughs).

Nash came into this competition hoping to redeem herself for getting kicked out of her eighth grade dance class, and Brooke Burke asked her if she felt like she'd accomplished that goal.

"I do feel like I've redeemed myself.... I've had such a fantastic time being able to live out my dream right there," said Nash as she looked to the dance floor.

Nearly escaping elimination beside her in the Bottom Two was Chad Ochocinco, who got the second lowest score of the night Monday with a 45. Maybe he should spend less time jewelry shopping for Cheryl and more time in practice?

Will Chad be the next to go? What do YOU think?

I loved Niecy, but I think the bottom 2 were right. I just wish Chad would have went before Niecy because Niecy was so funny and fun to watch.

You know what I love about Zap2IT, they LOVE TO RUIN THE SHOW FOR PEOPLE ON THE WEST COAST! Thanks for spoiling who goes home since the show JUST started. Idiots! It wasn't like I had to open the section it was in the title. Thanks again, maybe you could spoil Idol and Survivor for me as well.

Quite impressive. I didn't think she would make it as far as she did being in her current state of physical fitness.

I am sad that Neicy got eliminated.

The soap star should have remained. He's hot!

wish Niecy had gotten one more week and it had been chad to go first, just can't stand his attitude.I certainly think he will be next.

It's pretty clear that Chad SHOULD be the next to go, but in this crazy show "shoulds" don't mean much.
You gave it a good run, Niecy. I enjoyed watching you.
