Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, Jimmy Kimmel: TV Tweets of the past 24 hours, 'Lost' edition
The wild, weird and insane television tweets of the
past 24 hours, "Lost" edition.(Note: Every now and then, something sorta newsworthy might slip in here too... not often though)
About an hour before the "Lost" series finale aired on the east coast, executive producer Carlton Cuse sent a message to fans: @CarltonCuse: Enjoy tonight. And thanks for all your love and support for the last six years. You've lifted us up.
-
After the finale had finished on the west coast, co-creator Damon Lindelof said a few words: @DamonLindelof: Remember. Let go. Move on. I will miss it more than I can ever say.
-
Jimmy Kimmel -- who hosted a special edition of his show after the series ender -- is shocked by the show's conclusion: @jimmykimmel: just saw the Lost finale...I NEVER would have guessed they were inside a video game. Holy crap.
-
Former "Lost" star Dominic Monaghan bids the series farewell: @DominicMonaghan: Sad to say goodbye to LOST, but hoping fans have enjoyed the adventure.
-
As a J.J. Abrams show alum, Kevin Weisman ("Alias") had a personal connection to "Lost": @kevinweisman: that's all folks #LOST. surprisingly emotional..kudos to my peeps who work on the show.
-
Jason Berger ("Psych") doesn't have patience for the haters: @jayberger: You mean a show -that at its core was about characters losing faith- ends with a character finding his faith wasn't enough for you?
@jayberger: So we're not supposed to enjoy the journey and just bitch about the destination?
@jayberger: Ohhhh, why is Walt old? Oh that's answer you wanted. Sorry, we were watching different shows. My bad.
-
Seth Meyers ("SNL"), we are so with you on this: @sethmeyers21: My relationship with Lost was Jack/Kate. Ups and downs but in the end I would make out with it on a cliff.
-
Ming-Na ("Stargate Universe") sums it up: @MingNa: I really loved #Lost 's finale. It's nice to see those amazing actors, I mean characters, smiling & reunited. I will miss them. Bravo!

I think people are overthinking Lost. I was one of those people. When I watched the finale ending the first time, I was numb. I think my brain was trying to process it. Every emotion was out there Sunday night. I wanted answers to all of the questions and initially was a little angry when I was watching the last scene because I didn't have those answers.
I watched it again the next day and was blown away. My emotions were completely different. I noticed things the second time around that I had missed the first time. The questions that were not answered did not matter to me.
Once I got the whole 'vibe' of the finale and really this entire last season, I had a different perspective on the ending. The last half of the finale was really powerful and beautiful. When the Losties started to 'find' each other, that was the turning point for me.
The fact that they were all 'flawed' and didn't have an especially wonderful life before the island; and were able to connect to each other so much that they forever remained together was pretty powerful ("If we can't live together, we are going to die alone"). The final scene when Jack finally let go and was with his wonderful new family was really moving.
So, anybody who didn't like the finale because it didn't answer all of your questions, my suggestion is that you watch it again. Knowing how it ends and then watch it again, you will have a different thought process the second time.
I now say that I love the ending and was very satisfied with it. The tweet above "You mean a show -that at its core was about characters losing faith- ends with a character finding his faith wasn't enough for you?" really says it all.
I know KTV has been uber-busy bringing us all the tv goods but I'm very happy to see the TV Tweets back and Lost-centric too boot!
