CBS picks up William Shatner starrer 'Bleep My Dad Says'

william-shatner-getty2.jpgWilliam Shatner will head to CBS in the new comedy series "Bleep My Dad Says," according to Deadline Hollywood.

The comedy is based on writer Justin Halpern's Twitter account sensation S*** My Dad Says, where he posts his 70-something dad's colorful commentary. Shatner will play the role of the dad.

This is CBS' second new comedy series, joining Chuck Lorre's "Mike & Molly." Also on CBS' Fall schedule are "Hawaii Five-O," "Defenders," "Blue Bloods" and the "Criminal Minds" spinoff.

I already sense a cancellation here with this show.

Change the name, CBS! A show with that title would not only have a short life, it should instead air on Showtime (which is owned by CBS).
