'Brothers & Sisters': Most Zap2it readers think Robert is dying, but...

It's no secret someone is dying in the finale of "Brothers & Sisters" on Sunday, May 16 on ABC.

We at Zap2it created a short list of who we think is a goner and asked our readers to vote. It included Rebecca, Saul, Scotty and, of course, Robert.

As of the posting of this article, more than 60% of our readers believe that Rob Lowe as Senator Robert McAlister will meet his maker in the finale. But, judging from the sneak peek above, the network is just way too happy to lead us in that direction.

Even Rob Lowe teased his character's fate when he tweeted, "If, for some reason you hate me on ['Parks and Recreation'], you can watch bad things happen to me on 'Brothers & Sisters' on Sunday!"

So, sure, the scenario that Robert will die makes the most sense.  

But, here's some food for thought. ABC has said that they would like the opportunity of bringing Lowe's character back. Other show insiders have said that at least one other character will leave in the finale due to budgetary reasons. And we're pretty certain Luke Grimes (as Ryan), who the network has officially dropped, is not in the finale. Plus, we're not the only ones who have heard this.

According to our friends at Fancast, "someone will die" and "someone will leave, but not in a coffin" as the finale hour unfolds. That's exactly what we've heard.
