'Brothers & Sisters': Is Robert dead or what?
So uncool. Was it last season or the season before that "Brothers & Sisters" teased a major death in the family that just turned out to be Robert flatlining for a couple seconds, then regaining consciousness?
Not positive when it happened, but it definitely went down, and on Sunday's (May 16) fourth season finale -- which we were told would leave one of the Walkers lifeless -- a couple people were left hanging in the balance after a serious car pileup.
Holly seemed to be in bad shape. Robert definitely wasn't doing well. But we don't know for sure if he met his maker.
We do know that Rob Lowe will not return to "B&S" next season, but that doesn't necessarily mean his character is dead.
Could there be a twist?
We had heard that Robert would exit the series sans grim reaper, so we're wondering if that's still a possibility.
The show's writers definitely intended to keep us guessing with that ending and we'd just like to say, that's kind of mean. Why should we mourn Robert all summer if his pretty face is still in tact and he could be dropping by Walker world intermittently (aka Tommy-style) next year?
What do you think?

We must have watched different episodes. Robert very clearly died in those final moments. That was a classic death stare.
Agreed with Scott. He definitely died. The 'he won't die' comment was made months ago. Since then, there has been additional information, reporting and/or speculation. And it could have been an attempt at a red herring along. This to me just seems like an attempt to get page hits and posts, like the last unnecessary poll. (As if Rebecca and Scotty were in any danger...) And yet, here I am, falling for it.
I'm with Korbi , I don't know that he died either. This is TV. Until you see the body cremated or lowered south...
He's Dead, Jim./
That was the most stereotypical depiction of the fixed and dilated pupil I've seen on television.
There's supposed to be a time jump. Could come back and see that Robert has moved to Washington for a job and Holly is in a coma.
Maybe they meant Saul is dead since he's HIV positive..
Hmmmm...
I thought for sure that Robert had went on to be a damn good-looking angel up in heaven (paving the way for Matt Letscher's character to come back and comfort Kitty?! PLEASE!!!) but you do have a point Korbi!
My question is why was the "Icarus" (company name?)sign on the truck shown so prominantly as we panned away from Robert's (most-likely) lifeless body?! Are they to blame for the accident or did someone "fly to close to the sun"!?!
I think a 1 year timeleap would be great for the show, I could care less about them going through all the legal/business stuff with the new water company. My guess - in 1 year (start of next season), Holly is dead, Robert is in Afghanistan (because the writers ... See Morehave expressed that they would like to be able to bring him back from time to time), Kitty is Senator (which would explain her being part time status, not a series regular, next year), Justin is just returning from Haiti, the new business is booming and Saul most likely will be sick. Its clear he has HIV/Aids, which would obviously be a new, developing storyline. I think it would be disappointing to have Robert be the only one who dies, especially because we have known for months he was off the show - so it's no real surprise. Also, with Holly dead and Saul sick, it would also help explain why Tommy would be back as a series regular next year so he can help Sarah with the new biz. So my guess is that Holly dies. --- or actually if Holly dies, it would be awful insensitive if Justing leaves Rebecca for a year so perhaps scratch that part. Just my thoughts..
DEAD!
Robert is too obvious with RL leaving- but he sure looked dead! Haven't heard that Holly is leaving.. Where was Tommy? Did I miss the fact that he didn't leave with the rest? And I agree, I heard someone say something about someone cutting someone off (head shake here!)but didn't catch who did what- I guess now we wait....
