TV of Tomorrow: Fall TV Preview 2010

'Better Together' preview: ABC's sibling comedy starring JoAnna Garcia, Jennifer Finnigan

better-together-joanna-garcia-video-320.jpgJoAnna Garcia ("Privileged") and Jennifer Finnigan star in ABC's only new comedy to make the fall lineup.

In "Better Together," Maddie (Finnigan) has a steady, mature nine-year relationship with boyfriend Ben (Josh Cooke), and they like it that way. Her sister Mia (Garcia) couldn't be more different. Approaching life with a carpe diem attitude, she impulsively agrees to marry Casey (Jake Lacy), whom she's been dating for only seven weeks.

You'd think their parents would be horrified, but instead they've suddenly become more free in their thinking after their careful lifestyle backfired on them in the unpredictable economy. Now it seems that Maddie and Ben are the odd couple out.

Check out this first clip of "Better Together":

Also, we're psyched to see the adorable Garcia back, and this time doing comedy, which is a good fit for her quirky charms. It's possible that Lacy might upstage her though in his goofy antics, but we're hoping that's only the result of seeing small snippets.

Finally, it's time to meet the parents, and Debra Jo Rupp ("The '70s Show") is just as fun as ever.

This could be promising, especially sandwiched between "The Middle" and "Modern Family," but we'd think it'd be better if it were paired with "Cougar Town."

Oh I can't wait for this show! I love Jennifer Finnigan! Been watching her since her 3 time emmy winnning role on The Bold and the Beautiful. She's a great actress! I like Joanna Garcia too, really missed Priveleged, that was a great show too.

I love JoAnna Garcia so much, but this will be canceled in its first season. Come on! The plot reads like a joke.

I like JoAnna Garcia, and I will give the show a chance since it is sandwiched inbetween The Middle and Modern Family. However, if it doesn't prove itself very quickly, I'll record The Middle and Modern Family and watch them later as a block (like last season) without Better Together.

Looks like a cute show, Jake Lacy could be a real key to this comedy!

I was a big fan of Committed, even though it was kinda lame. It is going to seem so weird seeing these two back together again! They did have a chemistry back then though.
