'America's Next Top Model' winner Krista White shows no dreckitude

americas-next-top-model-winner-krista-tyra-banks-320.jpgKrista White achieved her "America's Next Top Model" dream, taking those cheekbones all the way to the end.

On the Wednesday night (May 12) finale, the 26-year-old from Pine Bluff, Ark., had the goods to take down fellow finalist Raina Hein in front of the cameras and on the runway.

White began pretty rocky at the beginning of the season, but improved her skills each episode, winning challenge after challenge as she neared the finale.

At the final CoverGirl shoot, her photos were not as fun and flirty as Hein's, but White somehow worked through the commercial despite nerves, forgetting her lines and having to rely on cue cards.

The Anna Sui runway finale required the finalists to be lighthearted and fun, something that White was able to pull off even has she delivered a strong walk down the runway. Hein was clearly not as powerful with her walk, only improving when the two of them had to pair up and walk side by side, matching White's stride.

antm-krista-runway.jpgFormer Cycle 14 contestants Angelea, Alexandra, Alasia and Jessica also joined them, as did "shorty" Cycle 13 winner Nicole.

In the end, White's ability to grasp modeling concepts and put them into practice and her unusual, angular look won the judges over.

"You are the embodiment of a top model," said Tyra Banks. "You learned and you listened and you blossomed. There's an honesty and rawness about you."

White was so overwhelmed upon winning, she started crying, causing judge Andre Leon Talley to tear up as well.

"I can't believe it. I want to pinch myself," said White. "Nobody thought it would be me. For me, to be from the small Pine Bluff with maybe 100 or something people where nobody ever leaves. It's amazing ... I'm excited I'm America's Next Top Model."

As the winner, White gets a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics and a six-page spread and cover of Seventeen magazine.

i wasn't hot on krista at first, but like tyra, i grew on her. she truly blossomed during the contest and deserved the win. go krista!!

I knew krista had something special from the start.

Krista's the fugliest winner to date on that show...she looks anorexic as well. Raina or Alexandra should have won. (Angelea looks like a man in drag, so no way for her.)

people still watch this crap? i stopped watching when the ugly blonde "plus size model" won just so tyra could promote her agenda.

you people are fools.

Krista has a inner beauty as well as a outer beauty about her. You go girl and you earned being ANTM.

i hate that fugly *****....oh lord

Thanks for the Spoiler Zap...

For some reason she was the judges darling winning numerous challanges. Sorry but she was nothing special. This was one of the worst seasons yet.

Krista looks like an ugly, anorexic man.

krista is the ugliest winner to date. i love tyra but i think she made a very very bad choice picking this girl. she looks like she is in desperate need of a sandwich. she looks like a dark alien lizzard. it's not even her skin color she is just plain ugly.

I still can't believe that she won..as soon as Tyra announced the winner I turned the TV off, I didn't want to watch that selfish B**** celebrate her victory..makes me sick to think about it actually. She was fake, UGLY, negative, and just an all around bad person! Not to mention her gross stick figure..way too thin, what kind of message are you sending Tyra?? You do nothing but contradict yourself. I think you lost a lot of respect this time, not to mention fans! Ugh, bad bad bad choice!
