'American Idol's' Michael Lynche thanks Ellen DeGeneres for her support
The most recent eliminated "American Idol" contestant Michael Lynche drops by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Friday, May 14 to talk about his experience on "Idol" and perform his Elvis week song "In the Ghetto."Ellen shares that when she first met Mike, he almost broke her back when he picked her up. Mike laughs, "It's just fun that way" and Ellen responds, "If I was your size, I'd pick everybody up too." Amen, sister.
When asked about the save, Mike tells Ellen, "I just really tried to stay focused on my game plan ... it definitely messes with you to be the lowest vote-getter, but I felt like if there was an opportunity to sing for my life ... I felt like I could do that."
He then gives another lovely performance of his "In the Ghetto" from Elvis Presley week. Michael also records a message for Ellen, thanking her for letting all the Idols come back on her show after they are eliminated and telling her that she's perfect for the show. Awww.

Man I can't bear Big Mike - thank goodness he's gone!
This Idol season has been a complete disaster. Here's a great blog piece I read that really nailed the show's problems - and gives 8 ways to fix Idol for the future

Im so glad Big Mike is gone. He was just so fake and was obviosuly never gonna make it.
These comments make me laugh...cuz I agree. We already have a Ruben Studdard...and Mike just doesn't compare.
well i have a comment to theses postings, Big Mike was the only one that knew what he wanted and who he was....one of the three just could not sing worth crap..2nd of the three was just to shy to show the world what they had,and the 3rd one was so messed up they didnt know if they wanted to stay or go home...
Weird. I thought he was the only one that wasn't fake.
