'American Idol's' Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze talk competition, advice

The "American Idol" Season 9 finale is almost upon us. The final two contestants, Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze, held a press conference Monday, May 25 to talk about their experience on the show. When asked if there is any sense of competition, Lee tells us, "Yes, because we both want the same thing, but no, because it's like we understand each other musically so it's almost like what she does or what I do doesn't affect the other person. It's just a matter of us going out and doing the best that we can."
Crystal adds, "It's friendly competition ... I'd be stoked for Lee if he won and I think he'd be the same ... for me. We appreciate each other."
Do they have any advice for young talent? "Don't take no for an answer," advises Crystal. "If you've got a dream and you believe in it, just go for it. Be careful not to trample people around you, be kind and gracious."
"If there's something that you dream of or you want to do, I can say first hand that it can happen," Lee says. "But it's important to not compromise who you are as a person to get to where you want to go ... I think lots of times people get lost in who they are when they're trying to achieve their goals and that's kind of where things get off track. So I think just ... stay true to yourself but also realizing it's okay to take risks and it's okay to put yourself out there."
The "American Idol" finale performances air Tuesday, May 26 at 8 p.m. ET and the new "American Idol" is crowned in the two-hour season finale Wednesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.

Crystal is a one dimensional, one trick pony. She can sing mostly in tune, but that's because she sings the same 4 notes in every song!
Lee is an out of tune singing paint saleman.
Well, BOING, there is an off button, and there are other shows to watch, it's your choice.
I'm always surprised when people spend time on things that they don't like. But hey, we're all different. :)

My vote is for Lee. I would much rather listen to him sing than to Crystal.
Lee should win. Crystal may be a better singer he is a better artist and that is what America wants.If it were not for Ryan she would not even be on the show still.Lee would have took it home. If Lee does not win tommarow i will cry.Crystal is a pain in the ***
Well, after last nights debacle , we know who is gonna win. Lee was out of tune and looked scared, almost like a flash back to 2-1/2 months ago. Crystal was really good, even for her and blew everyone away. Too bad cuz I like Lee too. He looked like a rag doll ay the closing, he knew he had f-ed up big time. But Momma Bow clearly won.
