They say "it's d singer, not d song". I say a good singer needs a great song 2 hv tat special moment - when listeners' get emotional goose bumps. Crystal was season frontrunner but lost momentum 2 Lee d last couple weeks as she hasn't been picking great songs 2 bring abt those moments. Lee has.

Lee ABSOLUTELY DESERVES to WIN IDOL this year. He is what the show is suppose to be about. He has grown Vocally and in stage presence. Tuesday night he was AWESOME and Definitely Deserved all the praise he received. I truly hope he becomes the Next American Idol...................

While Lee did deliver an outstanding performance, I think what most people responded to so well was actually seeing Lee have that "moment" everyone has been talking about. Artists have a tendancy to get jaded and can sometimes get cocky the more success they have. It is very refreshing to see an artist at the beginging of a promising career actually have that moment when they realize that the audience actually likes the music you are making. You could actually see the emotion on his face at the end of the song and THAT, I believe, is what everyone responded to the most. I'll never understand all those critics out there that feel the need to throw out the fact that it wasn't vocally perfect. Vocal perfection is not what people respond to, it's the emotion.
