'American Idol': 'Pants on the Ground' unites General Larry Platt and William Hung

general-larry-idol.jpgEvery year, "American Idol" begins with an array of auditions, and not all of the hopefuls are memorable because of their talent. The May 26 Season 9 finale saw the return of General Larry Platt, a 63-year-old civil rights activist who reprised his original "Pants on the Ground" from auditions in Atlanta.

Platt was joined in the finale by another familiar face from past "Idol" auditions: William Hung. Who could forget Hung's rendition of "She Bangs," or his subsequent album "Inspiration"? It's only appropriate that these two join up on Simon Cowell's final night as an "American Idol" judge.

The performance will certainly go down in "Idol" history. Platt and Hung were joined by dancers who happily dropped their jeans on stage. Platt himself was surprisingly light on his feet, especially considering the fact that he's 63 years old. We'd like to nominate him for the next season of "Dancing With the Stars."

These two men could run our national security, and be doing a better job than those who are over it right now! For that matter, Mr. Platt and Mr. Hung could be weapons of mass destruction. I'm sure of it!

I thought that the video for pants on the ground was hillarious. My teacher and I looked it up on the enternet we just about died laughing. It was great. *JEN*
