'American Idol': Katelyn Epperly, Lilly Scott's first concert together

katelyn-epperly-lilly-scott.jpgKatelyn Epperly and Lilly Scott were eliminated on the same night of "American Idol" Season 9 back in March but were reunited for a performance on Wednesday, May 5 in Katelyn's hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.

The Des Moines Register says that Lilly took the stage first (after a brief intro from Katelyn, which is the second video below) and played a set of "short, folksy original songs, plus a few covers." She was joined onstage by the mandolin player form band Varlet, Cole Rudy.

Katelyn took the stage shortly at 9 p.m., immediately launching into a cover of John Mayer's "Stop This Train." She tells the Register in the interview below that she met Lilly on group night for "American Idol" and got closer when they became roommates when they got sick at the same time. She also says it's great to back in Des Moines and in front of such a warm crowd.

Big Mike has no talent. Too arrogant. Judges stop giving him the bighead by saying he is another Luther. Absolutely no way is he even close to Luther. I would never vote for Mike. Who in the heck does he think he is.

Of course, I would never vote for Mike too.
