The broadcast networks officially announce their fall schedules next week, but that hasn't stopped the speculation about what will stay and what get canceled from flying around the blogosphere fast and furious this week.On Thursday (May 13), ABC's midseason comedy "Romantically Challenged" got caught in the crosshairs, when Entertainment Weekly pronounced it dead.
This was news to star Alyssa Milano who took to her Twitter account to set things straight and rally her fans to make an eleventh hour bid to keep "Challenged" around:
I just spoke to abc. They say that no decision has been made as of yet.
We're going to post the latest news on the status of #RomanticallyChallenged on the @RomChallenged account.
Again, no "official" word from ABC that #RomanticallyChallenged is canceled. Until we get official word let's just smile.

This isn't the first time Milano has used Twitter as more than a way to share what she ate for breakfast with her 827,000+ followers. In January, she issued a challenge to help raise relief funds following the Haitian earthquake.
ABC announces its Fall 2010 schedule on Tuesday, May 18.

its actually a really good show...pretty funny...lots of great characters
ABC will screw up again like they always do with a good show. I have been a life long ABC fan but they are bad about screwing their good shows and keeping the crap ones. After all , look how long we had to suffer thru more seasons of "According To Jim" before they finally put it out of our misery. Keep your track record intact ABC, toss another good show away and keep torturing us with more "Supernanny" and "Wife Swap".

Good for her. How incredibly rude of Ausiello to report cancellation rumors (b/c technically it's not official until the network says so). Can't he just wait five days?
Please keep this show on ABC, it is a fun show and beats the so called reality shows. And the cast is perfect do not make a mistake like so many networks have done, don't listen to the tabloids, or the E channel opinions. Go back to rural America and ask us what we like.

I love this show and as a twitter follower of Alyssa I applaud her for leading the charge to save her show! Call the number and follow the voice prompts is great because we could send thousands of emails and letters but nobody listens as well as when you call them on the phone yelling for them to keep your show!
The show sucks. Bottom line.
I gave this show a chance but it's just not funny. I had to sit for 30 minutes only to laugh once or twice. Not worth it. It's kind of a bad mix of Will & Grace and Friends.
ick. Alyssa was romatically challenged in Charmed and I couldn't stomach her sleezy self then and still can't stomach the sleeze-ball.
