Winona Ryder is a 'Cheater'

Don't call it a comeback -- unless, you know, it turns out to be one. Winona Ryder has landed a coveted role opposite Vince Vaughn and Kevin James in Ron Howard's next movie.The comedy, formerly called "Cheaters" but currently untitled, will star Ryder as James' wife. When his best friend (Vaughn) discovers that she's been sleeping with someone else, he confronts her and struggles with whether to break the news to James' character.
Ryder's casting was first reported by Deadline Hollywood. EW further reports that she beat out the likes of Uma Thurman and Kate Beckinsale for the role, which will be her first major-studio comedy in several years.
She co-starred in "Star Trek" and "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" last year and has a couple of projects due for release in the coming months: Darren Aronofsky's drama "Black Swan" the CBS/Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "When Love Is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story," about the founder of Al-Anon, which premieres April 25.
Ryder, Vaughn and James are set to begin filming in May.

Winona Ryder over Kate Beckinsale? Why? Winona didn't belong in Star Trek either.
Ryder got the part probably because it would be too much of a stretch to believe Kate Beckinsale or Uma Thurman would ever be married to that fat, obese, "look at me stuff my face for a joke", one dimensional, not the least bit funny, comedian Kevin James.
I think it is all about the "quan"...
They can get Ryder for a fraction of Thurman and Beckinsale.
They are getting a great actress at a bargain price most-likely...Kate Beckinsale isn't that great an actress, Uma Thurman is very good but maybe the role was better for Ryder.
Ryder is great! The best choice of the three. Beckinsale, so blah. Thurman good but Ryder will be funnier. Very excited to see this movie.
I love Kevin James!! He is very funny!! If you don't like him...don't go see his movie! It's as simple as that, but to criticize someone so harshly is a sign of a very UNHAPPY person.
So happy to hear she's coming back. criticize if you like, but hey, she's a working actress again, great accomplishment.
Whatever movie she's in she'll do a great job. People judge Winona Ryder very harshly. I want you all to leave her alone. The people who like her I commend but the people who don't"let's see you accomplish what she has. No Way!
I think Winona's time has come. She has made poor choices, but that is part of life. When we fall down, it's all about how we choose to rise to new challenges.
It takes a strong person to be in the public eye and face criticism from the public-at-large. It is terrific to know she is getting back in the game!!

Happy to see her back. She is a wonderful actor and will be fun to watch. I have missed her on the big screen. It seems all the "bad boys" keep getting job. But when a womyn is having problems, she gets "killed off".
