'Ugly Betty' star joins 'Outcasts'; HBO's 'How to Make It' renewed
Don't weep for former "Ugly Betty" star Eric Mabius. The actor will star in the BBC One drama "Outcasts," a sci fi post-apocalyptic series set in 2040, when humanity has been wiped from Earth after a biological catastrophe, according to Deadline.
The action centers on those who left Earth and are living on a planet in a neighboring solar system. Mabius will be the vice president of the emigrants.
The eight-episode series will begin production in South Africa in May.
