TV Ratings: Tina Fey, Justin Bieber 'SNL' posts second-highest ratings of season

Tina Fey returned to "Saturday Night Live" with teen heartthrob Justin Bieber to post the second-highest ratings of the season.

The Fey-hosted "SNL" easily won its time slot, earning a 5.7 rating/14 share of households and a 3.3 rating/14 share in the all-important adults ages 18-49 demographic.

By comparison, Charles Barkley's "SNL," the highest-rated episode of the season, posted a 6.5 rating/18 share and a  4.4 rating/19 share in the 18-49 demo, but it did have the sizable lead-in from the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles NFC Wild Card playoff game and then was hosted by a famous athlete. So Tina Fey's "SNL" did quite well for itself having no such lead-in programming.

To find a broadcast that put up comparable numbers, you have to stretch back to the Nov. 1, 2008 Ben Affleck-David Cook episode, which featured a cameo by Senator John McCain right before the Presidential election. That episode posted a 5.2 rating/19 share in the 18-49 demo.
