TV ratings: 'The Mentalist,' CBS lead a soft Thursday
Fast National ratings for Thursday, April 1, 2010Perhaps the nation's TV viewers were still out playing pranks Thursday night, because the April Fool's Day ratings were pretty modest across the board.
CBS, which swapped timeslots for its dramas "The Mentalist" and "CSI," came out on top with 12.7 million viewers and a 7.8 rating/14 share, but that was well below the network's usual numbers for Thursday. Ditto ABC, which came in second with 7.55 million viewers and a 5.0/9. FOX (7.2 million, 4.5/8) finished third. NBC (4.4 million, 2.9/5) came in fourth, beating out The CW (2.6 million, 1.6/3).
CBS also led the adults 18-49 ratings with a 3.0, which is also below its usual average. ABC's 2.5 was good enough for second place, edging FOX's 2.3. NBC averaged 1.9 in the demo and The CW 1.2.

Wow. What happened last night? 2.8mil for TVD? They're usually in the high 3's to low 4's.
I predict that tvd will only last 2 seasons! Last nights episode was so boring to me! i was like wtf? Thats it? Its already losing viewers!
Survivor is still holding up. I like this season alot. Looks like CBS flipping the mentalist and CSI worked well enough. Thought Fringe would do better, but still not too bad.
Gray's Anatomy is just dieing these days. A new ep couldn't even manage 10M viewers? the writing is on the wall for these outdated ABC shows.
I feel sad for Bones and Fringe.... they don't deserve ratings like that.... hope the numbers will be more better next week!
It looks like about 10 million viewers were doing something other than watching tv last night. All the shows were way off the average
MEOWs readership is down too!
It looks like Flashfoward was a flash in the pan for ABC.It's too bad it was a very good episode last night.
MEOW loves PAWN STARS she is in luv with Rick!
Grey's has been falling all season. No coincidence it is the season where Katherine Heigl has barely been on it. They announced she has left for good and Grey's has its worst ever ratings by 2 million.
