Four months of fan anticipation -- and an "American Idol" lead-in -- helped "Glee" capture its biggest audience ever Tuesday and deliver a strong ratings win for FOX. The intro paragraph states 13.6M viewers but the hourly breakdown reads 12.8, which is correct?

Congratulations to Glee! What a fantastic show. Last night's episode rocked the house. The "Vogue" video was excellent and all of the numbers throughout the show were great. Plus, all the new guest stars that are coming not to mention next week is Madonna week. WOW FOX hit a home run for once! Congrats. again!

Look at the 9 o clock hr it posted a 14.4 then add in the 12.8 average them out, you get 13.6!

It says 13.6 because it got 14.4 million in the first half hour (9:30-10:00) and 12.8 in the second half hour (10:00-10:30). It's listed under both 9:00 and 10:00. Read more carefully next time :)

The hourly breakdown does not say 12.8. It says 14.4 and 12.8. Glee is also listed after American Idol under 9pm, as it was on from 9:30-10:30.
