"Survivor" and crime dramas coasted to a ratings win Thursday night, and ABC's "FlashForward" improved slightly on last week's soft numbers. NBC's comedies, however, drew some of their smallest audiences of the season.

CBS easily won the night with 13.3 million viewers and an 8.1 rating/14 share in households. FOX (7.4 million, 4.6/8) came in second, ahead of ABC (5.8 million, 4.0/7). NBC mustered only 4.7 million viewers and a 3.1/5, while The CW scored just under 3 million people and a 1.8/3.

The Eye also led among adults 18-49 with a 3.1 rating. FOX took second in the demographic with a 2.3, edging NBC's 2.2. ABC averaged 1.7 and The CW 1.4.

Moving private practice into a different time slot for the week didn't seem to help their numbers.

Care to share how Supernatural did?? Its the only show you didnt bother to reveal.

Once again The Mentalist wins the night.

Look for Variety to explain how The Mentalist is doing really poorly... :(

@Rick: Congrats for pointing out the super-low ratings at NBC. You'll be one of the very few in the press to dare to mention it. :)

I'll go one step further and question how NBC's top execs feel about renewing all those shows even as their ratings are sinking lower and lower over time.

On the same note, NBC also renewed The Marriage Ref. Why?

Why is such a level of management not-by-the-ratings-numbers tolerated in what was once a great company and could be so again?

Sorry, but such a level of suicidal incompetence is just upsetting (especially from the network that has pioneered ageism as a PR technique).

Speaking of shows that should never have been renewed, why is Fringe still on for another year? does FOX want to be the next NBC?

Looks like "FF" went up by about half a million viewers this week over last.

Maybe Fringe was renewed because its one of the best dramas on tv, and FOX is willing to keep it and help it grow? Gosh, that's just crazy.

Bones is a colone (sic!) of Castle?? Amazing scientific breakthrough, they've cloned the parent from the child!! Bones is finishing its fifth full season and Castle (the true clone) has i.5 seasons...

Wow awful rating for Fringe! Shame, it was one of the best episodes of the season! Stinks that not enough people were there to see it! Fringe needs a new time slot!

Sheesh, please cancel "the office", it completely sucks now.

The office comes in first in the money category 18-49, but 3rd/4th in overall audience, less than half of CSI's overall audience. That tells me that most of the CSI audience must be over 50. This is why the overall numbers and rankings are misleading

There is the CBS worker lurker again-Rena as always.... spitting out your poison.
