'The View' snags Gabourey Sidibe as guest co-host; Mike Tyson as first-time guest

Gabourey Sidibe has already tried her hand at hosting "Saturday Night Live," and next week she'll get her shot at co-hosting "The View." A few days later, "Iron Mike" Tyson will make his first-ever guest appearance.

ABC announced Wednesday (April 28) that the "Precious" star will get her chance to gab alongside the ladies of "The View" on Tuesday, May 4, followed by Tyson's guest appearance on Friday, May 7.

This will be Sidibe's first appearance as a celebrity guest co-host, but her second visit to the show. She first appeared as a guest in February 2010. When Sidibe appeared on "SNL," she even gave a shout-out to her trip to "The View" during her opening monologue.

"Iron Mike" Tyson's guest appearance will mark the first time Barbara Walters and Tyson have spoken since her 1988 "20/20" joint interview with Tyson and then-wife Robin Givens. The retired boxer is promoting a new series for Animal Planet and a documentary on his life.
