'So You Think You Can Dance': Billy Bell, Brandon Dumlao back for Season 7
Billy Bell, the talented contemporary dancer who had to drop out of "So You Think You Can Dance's" Season 6 Top 20 due to illness last fall, is in Vegas for Season 7 final auditions, my friends. He performed for the judges this morning and Brandon Dumlao, who stepped in at the last second for a short-lived stint filling Bell's spot during Season 6, is here as well.
Dumlao just left the stage and, though I can't really talk about any of the contestants' individual performances, I'll just say that it's very clear why Dumlao was the judges' first choice alternate last year. We didn't get to see much of him on the show last season, as he was at a disadvantage jumping into the competition at a moment's notice, but I do hope he'll get a solid shot this summer.
Also spotted here in Vegas -- and standing out on the stage -- is Alex Wong, whom dedicated "So You Think You Can Dance" fans will remember as the Top 20 hopeful in Season 5 who almost made the cut, but was sent home due to a contractual issue with the Miami City Ballet.
All three boys have returned for another shot... and my fingers are crossed for each of them.

Yay! Loved all three...when Billy had to drop out I kinda lost what little hope I had for that dismal restructuring of SYTYCD last fall. The talent was "eh" and the format was terrible...wasn't enough to keep me going...looking forward to the show I loved being back in its rightful place.

Yes! I'm so glad that Brandon Dumlao is back! He deserves a spot in S7. He's an awesome dancer and could give Billy and Alex a real big competition on the show. Wooo!!
Seriously though, this show is called "So You Think You Can Dance", it's supposed to be dancers who are not doing it professionally. Yet you see so many in these shows who are. It's just not fair to those who are amazing dancers who get set aside for these dancers who are already in professional dance companies. I think it's more entertaining to watch dancers who don't have the formal training background to learn on this show and do amazing dancing!
HAPPY THAT ALL 3 ARE BACK. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM COMPETE ON STAGE. LOVE THEM.
Yay, billy is back.. cant wait to see him dance again. So sad that he cant compete during season 6 because there's a lot of competition like Jacob, Nathan and many more
