'Life Unexpected,' 'One Tree Hill,' 'Melrose Place': Keep 'em or kill 'em?

The final stop on the Bubblewatch 2010 tour is The CW, and like a lot of things with the fifth network, things are a little different when it comes to what's on the bubble.The C-Dub has already picked up six of its series for next season -- and for a network that only broadcasts 10 hours of primetime a week, one of which is typically devoted to reruns, that takes care of most of the schedule.
We decided to include all three scripted shows that haven't been picked up yet in this round of polls. We don't think "Melrose Place" has an especially good shot at renewal, but we're including it nonetheless, because, well, stranger things have happened.
"Life Unexpected"
The case for it: Critics have been kind to the new series in a way that they generally haven't been to the network of late. Its audience (2.3 million viewers per episode) is bigger than a couple of the shows that have already been renewed, including "Gossip Girl" and "90210."
The case against it: Its audience skews a little older than some of the already renewed shows, according to TV by the Numbers -- which isn't necessarily what the young female-focused CW wants to see.
"Melrose Place"
The case for it: ... Um, yeah. Not coming up with a whole lot here.
The case against it: It's the least-watched scripted show still on the air on any of the five English-language networks. Its average of 1.3 million viewers would be a low-ish number even for a cable channel.
"One Tree Hill"
The case for it: Of the three shows that haven't had their futures decided yet, it has the biggest audience at 2.35 million viewers. Its fans, even after seven seasons and a leap forward in time, are still among the network's more devoted.
The case against it: After seven seasons on the air, it can't be a cheap show to make.

It's like Marry/Boff/Kill in a way. I NEED them to keep LUX (I'd marry it); I want them to keep MP (good for a few cheap thrills), but I have never been more over OTH (outstayed it's welcome; it needs to go!).
Keep "LUX" ... the rest can go.
I really enjoy LIFE UNEXPECTED, I was a big fan of the other family dramas on CW - huge fan of EVERWOOD and glad to see an engaging relationship storyline show with some maturity and real seriousness. I was so very much looking forward to this program. Each week it has not disappointed. Changes my mind in new ways about adoption and foster parenting and that can be a good thing.
I'm tired of the freakin' audience skews this way or that. So I'm not 18 years old, that means I have some money.
Where was I - oh yeah, Life Unexpected has to STAY!
Keep LUX!!! It's a rare show to watch on the CW because it actually has depth and a lot of heart. I had many tearful moments and I love all the characters. And just to let everyone know I am on Team Baze.
One Tree Hill has outstayed its welcome by about 3 years. The time jump was supposed to creatively revitalize the show, but instead it just solidified the fact that it needs to end.
ONE TREE HILL
I want one tree hill to stay on..I never miss it...I love Nathan and Haley they have been my fav from day one...I do miss lucas..But Please keep One tree hill on for other season!!!
OTH has not been good these past 2 years and I used to be a die hard fan. It's worse w/o Peyton, so kill it. I LOVE MP and I reallllly want it to be renewed. Dawn O. sucks as the president, however. 90210 looks horrible and it's doing better, how that is, I don't know. I want LUX renewed as well.
PLEASE renew One Tree Hill-this show has been AMAZING this season and I'm not ready for it to end!
