'Gossip Girl': The 'itch' is back

What "itch" would that be, you ask? The one that starts with a B.
And by that, we of course mean "Blair." What, you were thinking something else?
While Monday's (April 26) "Gossip Girl" promises to be a Blair-light hour -- the episode focuses mostly on the return of Serena's (Blake Lively) estranged dad (William Baldwin) and her relationship issues with Nate (Chace Crawford), which a conniving Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is happy to exploit.
Next week, though, might be a different story. On May 3, Blair (Leighton Meester) will pay a visit the campus of Columbia University, where she "realizes where she truly belongs." (Even though Columbia is on the Upper West Side.) If this marks a return to the power-hungry, scheming Blair, we're more than happy to see it. The milquetoast version we've seen for a lot of this season has been wearing on us, frankly.
"Gossip Girl" airs at 9 p.m. ET Mondays on The CW.

Hm, I didn't think tonight was Blair-light at all. I also don't think--the last 2 episodes before tonight aside--that the "*****" version of Blair went anywhere. She's been quite a ***** to many this season, as per usual.
Just for clarification (mine), Columbia was Serena's first choice until she flaked on college, right?
