'Glee' creator Ian Brennan on Jane Lynch singing: 'More Sue Sylvester up in this piece'
This past week, "Glee" fans finally got a good solid dose of the vocal stylings of Jane Lynch, courtesy of the show's killer "Vogue" parody -- Yes, that was actually Lynch belting out the lyrics -- But there's apparently quite a bit more where that come from."There will be a lot more Sue Sylvester up in this piece," creator Ian Brennan told fans at the filming of the first season finale Wednesday evening when asked if we'd be seeing the character sing again.
I'd say that's a solid plan, no?
And speaking of more Sue Sylvester, Jane Lynch herself came up to the fan section of the auditorium where they were filming this finale scene -- check back with Korbi TV for more on that later -- and answered several questions, much to our delight.
The highlights?
-Her favorite Madonna number from Tuesday's special tribute episode was "Like a Prayer"
-Her favorite Sue line? It's from an episode that has yet to air and it's said to Kurt: "Loving musical theater doesn't make you gay, it just makes you awful."

-Her favorite guest star: "That's so hard... but I'd have to say ON-J, Olivia Newton-John. We had so much fun together."
-When asked if she was born amazing, the always-humble star replied, "Oh, you're so sweet to say that," let a beat pass and continued: "But yes, I was born amazing."

Amazing, indeed.
So, in the song department, what would you like to see Ms. Lynch tackle next?

Anything! Just more Sue Sylvester in any shape or form. I don't care if this woman is reading from the dictionary, everything she does is with perfect comedic timing. and not just on Glee, all of her other roles (that i've seen at least) are perfect too!
But if I had to choose, I want to hear her sing "*****" from the mid-90's (can't remember the artist right now)
Sue Sylvester is a great character, and I've been a Jane Lynch fan for years. But don't go too far. "Happy Days" started on its downhill slide when it became "The Fonzie Show." Keep us wanting to see more of Sue, don't overwhelm us with too much of her.
Definitely one of the best episodes of GLEE this season, and one of the best hours of TV this year. I think the performances were all spot on, and the music was great. The plotline...well...that hasn't been what we've loved about GLEE ever. Express Yourself, Like A Virgin, and Like A Prayer were my favorites...and when my tivo cut off the final two minutes, I was livid!

Parody? No.
Tribute! And brilliantly done.
Glee has got to the most overhyped TV show since the early days of Desperate Housewives. It's just another high school show with 25 year old "students".
Jane has a really great voice and can handle complex vocal arrangements. She did her own singing in A Mighty Wind, and she was part of the 'neuftet' in that, so had to sing some complex harmonies.
