'Dancing With the Stars' Brooke Burke on 'Kimmel': 'I'm kind of rooting for Kate [Gosselin]'
"Dancing With the Stars" co-host and former contestant Brooke Burke jumped from Monday's (April 5) live performance show over to "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to talk about what the stars are really going through ... and why she's pulling for Kate Gosselin.Burke, the "DWTS" Season 7 champion, started off my saying that it's much easier to host than be a contestant.
"I don't think people realize how difficult it is," Burke tells Kimmel.
Since reality TV mom Kate Gosselin seems to be taking a pretty good beating from the judges each week, Burke has developed a soft spot for her.
"I'm kind of rooting for Kate. And the reason I'm rooting for Kate is I like the underdog. I want her to conquer this. I want her to pull it together and be able to do something she's terrified of that she doesn't think she can do."
Of course Kimmel reminded Burke that Gosselin has made some pretty bold claims that she thinks she can win the whole competition. Burke still had Gosselin's back.
"This woman has 8 kids. So mother to mother, if you've got 8 kids and you're queen of multi-tasking and you've done that, what can't you step out in the world and do? I want her to succeed at this."
We'll see if Burke will get to see the famous mom hang around for one more week when another contestant gets the axe during Tuesday's elimination show on ABC.

I hope Kate gets thrown off - I'm sick of her sob story every week. And although Buzz is a great American hero, he needs to go. Pam acted like she was on something the first week (or was that just her imitation of Marilyn?) I was rooting for Jake, but after everything I've read in the tabloids about him being an "attention hog", I'm changing my mind.
Brooke is cheering for Kate because she has kids? I guess if Octomom was on the show she would be cheering for her too. Gimme a break!
1st of all, Brooke B. needs to concentrate on her own job, which it appears, she's not very good at! as for Kate, she is wooden, not too bright,phoney,shallow,and just annoying! I used to think Jon G. was a pig, but I can see why he left! she's on my last nerve & I dont have to live w/her! any bets on which of those kids goes to jail 1st? Jake P. his halloween pumpkin face is spooky, and saying Chelsea disrespected him? please. he wants respect for his dancing? then learn how! plus he's a short little jerk! short men have ALOT of issues! Im voting Nicole S. all the way. class act, no drama, and dances like a dream!
I thought it was totally inappropriate for Brooke to appear on another show and try to push Kate. Impartial? Hardly.
Well, Brooke, there are a few other Mothers on the show. Kate wanted to do this to "laugh at herself". She doesn't seem to do much laughing. If she is so "terrified" by this, perhaps she is out of her league? Kate thinks she has talent and wants to be a movie star, or something. She can't even pull off being feminine in a dance routine. I have never seen anything like it. Her real fans would let her get off the show, out of kindness. It is evident that ABC and TLC are letting her be the dunce for ratings. And she doesn't have the intellect to "get it". I had to stop watching the show. It is too sad to watch a grown woman (?) make a glaring fool out of herself.
I love Kate, I think shes a great mom and all but she can't dance its ok not everyone can do everything! I have got to hand it to her for trying. As for Pam, she acted like she was on something last night, or maybe just an act? Jake is a newbe and yes acting like everyone should treat him with respect? Hum no comment! Im voting for Niecy Nash she is the only one that looks like she is really trying and succedding in her efforts! Go girl! good luck!
If Kate wins most of my family and friends will be done with the show for good.
Go Kate! You can do it! Most people out there who have accomplished things were denigrated.

I've seen better dancing cows than Kate Gosselin.She is absolutely terrible.Go home to your kids,Kate.You don't belong on the dance floor.Walking around in a circle is not dancing.You just look pathetic.I'm sure we'll see your tears as they vote you off.The sooner the better.And once more we will hear how you did it all for your kids.
