Box Office: Friday good for 'Date Night,' weekend title up for grabs
"Date Night" may have won Friday, April 9, but the numbers were close enough that the weekend title is still up in the air. If only NBC could be as successful in the ratings as its stars are at the box office. The Tina Fey ("30 Rock"), Steve Carell ("The Office") comedy had a good opening night, earning $9.3 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Nipping on "Date Night's" heels was last weekend's new release "Clash of the Titans," which brought in $8.5 million, and the out-for-two-weeks kids' movie "How to Train Your Dragon" in third place with $7.1 million. This means the top weekend spot is still up for grabs after Friday night.
Miley Cyrus' "The Last Song" and Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too?" were in a bang-bang fourth and fifth places with $3.6 and $3.5 million, respectively.

Pardon Tina for not being blessed genetically. It's no reason to hate.
