Box Office: 'Clash of the Titans' bests 'Date Night' in final count
The weekend box office was too close to call Sunday, April 11 between "Clash of the Titans" and "Date Night," but the final numbers from Sunday are in and "Titans" has won the box office for the second weekend in a row.The reason the final tally was too close to call is because Sunday earnings are estimated following the Saturday night showings. Previous estimates had "Date Night" at $27.1 million for the weekend, squeaking out a win over "Titans" $26.9 million. However, once the final numbers came in, "Titans" ended up in first place with $26.6 million, while "Date Night" was a close second at $25.2 million.
This is the second week for "Clash of the Titans" atop the box office. Opening this week are "Kick-A**," "Death at a Funeral" and "The Joneses," which may all have some trouble dethroning the "Titans."
The rest of the top 10 looks is as follows:
3 "How to Train Your Dragon" $24.9 M
4 "Why Did I Get Married Too?" $11.01 M
5 "The Last Song" $9.8 M
6 "Hot Tub Time Machine" $5.4 M
7 "Alice in Wonderland" $5.3 M
8 "The Bounty Hunter" $4.2 M
9 "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" $3.98 M
10 "Letters to God" $1.1 M

The media was so behind date night giving free publicity along with raving critics reviews.
Well people no longer believe the media elites or the critics.
Media credibility is sooo dead.
Yes, so much for Fey. Too bad she didn't finish in third. How to... is a better movie anyway.
This article says that the race for first place was close but really it was much closer between the second and third place movie, only $300,000 separating Date and Dragon.

Sorry but why censor the *** in 'Kick-***' when promotional material across the entire world demonstrates the words acceptance? We all have one. Can't avoid that. But we don't all have to say "F..." etc
Great idea! Love seeing a creative mind work and gain success!!!!!! Hope it continues to grow!
