'American Idol': Top 7 talk 'Idol Gives Back,' Ellen DeGeneres gives sneak peek
"American Idol" is holding its third "Idol Gives Back" charity event on Wednesday, April 21. Find out what participating in the event means to the Top 7 Idols, plus check out a sneak peek from judge Ellen DeGeneres. The Top 7 Idols tell Zap2it about what "Idol Gives Back" means to them:
Siobhan: Just being a part of it is amazing, especially if you've ever been in a place of need. To be able to be in a position where you know you are helping other people who are in that place is a real honor.
Michael: We heard about it so long ago. From the very beginning, they were like we're doing Iodl Gives back this year ... The fact that we're still here after hearing about ti so long ago ... when tomorrow gets here, it'll be awesome.
Lee: I'm just happy to be able to do something I never would've been able to do without all this. Giving back is a good thing and I'm glad we're doing it.
Aaron: It feels good to be able to give back, especially because all the performances from tonight, all the money is going to be donated to this ... from the iTunes performances.
Casey: You can flip any of us out and the situation remains teh same. It's not about us whatsoeve.r It's about the position we have and the ability to use it for good.
Crystal: Tomorrow's show isn't about us.
Tim: Tomorrow is going to be a really special day. You almost forget that it's a results show. It's more ... than just being on television and being famous, it's about what you can do for other people. I think it's really exciting for us to see that you can be put on this pedestal, but you can use that to help other people.
Also check out this "Idol Gives Back" sneak peek from "Extra" with judge Ellen DeGeneres at the Foothill Unity Centre, an L.A-area food bank. She is urging people to give even a small amount because even $5 or $10 can make a difference.
