'American Idol': Michael Lynche is new Vote for the Worst contestant

Vote For the Worst couldn't keep Screamin' Siobhan around on "American Idol," which is unfortunate, so they are forced to choose another Idol. They've backed Michael Lynche. The site seems to think it's a foregone conclusion that Big Mike is the next to go but they think they should try to keep him anyway. We aren't so sure he's next.
Yes, Big Mike was in the Bottom 3 this week, but so was Casey James. And Aaron Kelly has had a couple turns in the Bottom 3 as well. Really, Crystal and Lee are probably the only safe bets moving forward.
VFTW says of their decision on Michael Lynche, "So now that we're in the top 5, the VFTW pick has come down to Michael Lynche and Aaron Kelly. The choice went back and forth, but after some thought, it's obvious who we should help save: Michael. He's arrogant, he's cheesy, and he's only around because he's riding a wave of sympathy from almost being eliminated. Most people would've loved to have seen home go home in 9th place like he was supposed to, so if he even lasts one more week, fans won't be too happy. People seem to really hate this guy, which just means he's perfect to plaster up on our site. The hate for Aaron isn't even half as big, so that's no fun just yet. And whereas Aaron is trying to improve, Mike just does the same thing every week without listening to the judges at all."
Wow, we had no idea there was such brutal Michael Lynche hatred out there, but we do agree with their assessment that Michael does the same thing every week. We just don't see it as quite the same faux pas as VFTW does -- Crystal does the same thing every week too, she just does it much, much better than Big Mike.

They ALL do the same thing every week in varying degrees of success. Why do people hate Big Mike he seems like a nice guy!
I can't believe that Siobhan is gone - I guess the myth about country week taking out one of the biggest competitors each season has some truth to it. With only 5 people left, it's harder to say who should go next - I don't think it should be Casey even though America seems to be implying that. What happened to Shania Twain last night? She was supposed to have performed last night.
I don't think we can say Lee and Crystal are totally safe, well maybe Crystal. But this was Siobhan's first time in the bottom three and she got the boot. Personally, I thought it was going to be Mike. I was totally blown away that Casey and Siobhan were the bottom two. VFTW is right, even though I hate to say it. The two worst are Aaron and Mike.
What do I think? I think that VFTW are a bunch of asshats.
Honestly - I have hated "Big Mike" even before he got to the Top 12... because of the reports that his dad violated the confidentiality clause about the Top 24.
He was supposed to have been eliminated then, but got through with no explanation. WHY? Was it just to drum up press for the guy? Plus the "my wife had a baby and I am not there for her even though America obviously doesn't like me" thing is obnoxious.
I don't like VFTW, but I agree with them about people not liking this guy.
Your insane. Big mike is the nicest most sincere guy on that show. His voice is incredible, and he connects to the audience telling a story with such emotion.The elvis week, mikes performance of in the ghetto, brought me to tears. Not taking anything away from Lee tho, who is by far my favorite. He even made a shaniah twain country song sound rock and original. Crystal personally is annoying me. Yea a sweetheart, with an adorable child.. but praising her every week and telling her nothing different hasn't made her grow as an artise at all. Peace out shioban thank god. Simon telling her her screaming sounded like she was giving birth was awesome. she constantly sounded congested with a sinus infection. Aaron, 17? huge voice, incredible range. Won't win, but will be big regardless. Casey, really the long curly blonde hair isn't as hot as everyone thinks. His shaniah performance was moving, but his constant week to week rock out on the guitar and sing four lines, is old. end of story..

Fat Mike comes off arrogant and insincere, in my opinion, and I think he's the fakest reality show contestant in one of these indirect competition shows I've ever seen (as opposed to something like Survivor where they vote each other out and are fake as part of the game).
He always performs entirely for himself and radiates this aura like we're all supposed to love it because he does. He also has a tendency to do whatever it takes to be on camera.
I almost started to like him until he was saved and celebrated on-stage like the tool that he is, totally lacking in humility, totally failing to recognize that HE WAS VOTED OFF the show by the viewers.
And of course his performances have been pretty crappy lately- dude peaked weeks ago.
This is just my impression though, and I respect those who disagree.
Big Mike should have been gone a long time ago...
