After the dramatic save of Michael Lynche last week, the Top 9 became a Top 7 as two "American Idol" contestants were sent packing -- Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia. I felt bad for them but Katie was not that good. Andrew set the bar too high with Straight Up and never quite made it back up there.
I found the whole top 24 a bit boring this year. They are playing it safe and dull and I think it is starting to show in the fact that Dancing has not only closed the huge ratings gap but has passed them. The judges aren't helping, they are all over the place but Katie did break the rules - America does not like you lipping off to Simon, even in a song. Has any artist survived when they've mouthed off to him? Andrew should have been gone a month ago.... Simon seems to have morphed from ultra-nasty to 'mailing it in' the last couple weeks, I suspect he is counting the days now. I'd like to see Ellen tell someone they royally suck... ANYONE!
This whole season is terrible.
Not a very strong group this year - no outstanding talent so far. Adam Lambert set the bar there.
The judges - well, Simon and Ellen are enjoyable.
I never saw what was so gr8t about straight up,but I thought katie was very good tues. Aaron was horrible tues he should have been gone two weeks ago.
crystal is one of the best talents ive seen in the 7 years ive been watching.I know she won't win a/c of the TWEENERS(texting 300 votes each)
But like adam she has the best chance for a great career
Im sad to see Katie go, for only being 17, she seems to have the full package, personality, talent and looks...I hope we see more of her (with some professional fine tuneing). I like andrew, but glad he is gone, Erin should have gone and Tim Urban!!! Come on Tweeners, your killing the show...STOP!!!! He had a few good preformances, but thats about it!
