TV Ratings: CBS hoops it up Thursday
Fast National ratings for Thursday, March 25, 2010The NCAA Basketball Tournament once again scored Thursday night against the scripted competition, although the return of "Grey's Anatomy" held up well enough against the sports coverage. Definitely. And Flash Forward? Now that is truly a "sad, poor thing." In the words of that annoying kitty.
greys is so done
People need to remember that Grey's is in its 6th Season. Yes, ER's numbers in its 6th season were much higher however that was 1999 when there wasn't much going on with TNT, FX, and internet was still in its infancy. They really could use an evening change (back to Sunday or Tuesday when where it would have to compete will Idol for a month). They also could use a cast purge (Mercy West, Owen and bring back some of the nurses from Seasons 1 and 2).
how can you say grey's is done, not in a million years dumb ***.
Stupid question, as i'm Canadian and don't know much about American's tv habits (other than their stupid with their reality shows and procedurals but that's a different story :P)
But what the hell is so special about college basketball? You never see such high ratings numbers for NBA games in primetime, so i really don't know why it's so popular, i mean it's COLLEGE basketball, it's not even pros. Hockey is huge here in Montreal but we don't care about College hockey.
I seriously just don't get it..

This site is forgetting this is series lows again this season for Grey's. It's just propaganda now and they keep adding new characters no one cares about. And it's now a really offensive, biased, chauvinistic show. The women always are groveling to the men who are cheating on them. (Lexie, Izzie etc) The show is hateful towards any type of religious people. (They are all shown as pushy, demeaning their relatives. Always the SAME portrayal anytime they are on the show!) Too bad cause the first seasons were great and I bought them on DVD, but I won't watch anymore.
When will the executives realize that long breaks within a season is a huge mistake. At least with "Lost" and "24", the episodes run in a row. But having weeks and weeks off during the season is a HUGE mistake. When will they learn???
JON....The reason NBA games do not get rating is that it is a not TRUE basketball. The gane itself is so boring that the NBA is offering special deals just to get people to come to games much less watch it on TV. The college game is a true form of basketball and played with heart and hard work. The NBA is a buch of over paid thugs who could not spell CAT if you spotted them the C and the T. Most all of PRO sports have been infected with most people tuning out.
Jon, this country has a long history of dragging out sporting events that, in the long run, don't mean a damn thing. The NCAA tournament is probably fun for the schools who are involved (one of my former alma maters was represented, which was pretty cool, even if they did get knocked out in the first round), and for people who are obsessive about lists having to do with basketball. For the rest of us, anything that takes up more than a few days time is seriously dull.
And to answer Jeff's question: they won't. Networks are currently run by people with the collective IQs of the snail population in my backyard.
