TV ratings: 'Castle' hits series high as ABC rules Monday

Fast National ratings for Monday, March 29, 2010"Dancing with the Stars" fell off some from its premiere but still had a big night Monday, while "Castle" followed last week's series high with an even bigger audience this time around.
ABC dominated primetime with 19.9 million viewers and a 12.5 rating/20 share in households. A night of (mostly) repeats on CBS (8.3 million, 5.2/8) came in second. FOX (6.9 million, 4.3/7) came in third, ahead of NBC's 5.45 million viewers and 3.4/6. The CW (1.85 million, 1.2/2) brought up the rear.
The story was the same in the adults 18-49 demographic, where ABC's 4.9 rating was the night's best by a wide margin. CBS' 2.8 was good for second. FOX finished third at 2.2, followed by NBC, 1.8, and The CW, 0.9.

Great to see Castle doing so well, even though it was up against a CSI: Miami repeat. Good to see Life Unexpected's ratings staying steady (has it been renewed for a second season yet?), disappointed by 24 slipping slightly from last week (last week's hour 13 was one of Day 8's best), and even though it's an increase of just 0.1 million viewers from last Monday, it's good to see the 450th episode of Law & Order do slightly better than last week.
Is anyone else finding their new posts are being slotted in before posts by other people?

If The CW doesn't renew Life Unexpected for another season, the network might as well fold. That show is such a gem for the network!! And it's performing so well for them! :o). Horray Life Unexpected!
Very few good shows on TV this season. I look forward to Castle each Monday.

I really hope people keep tuning into Castle whether CSI:Miami is a repeat or not. I feel it's the best and original kind of show for primetime. It's fun and yet excellent stories. Last week it beat a new Miami so I hope people really start watching this show after this two-parter of Castle. Miami is just awful and soapy now.
