'The Bachelor's' Tenley Molzahn: 'It ended the way it was supposed to end'

tenley-molzahn-jake-pavelka-320.jpg"The Bachelor" runner-up Tenley Molzahn talks about not being the one for Jake Pavelka and getting back into the dating scene.

On the final Rose Ceremony

From the very, very first moment that I saw Jake on that day, I kind of had this feeling it wasn't me because of the way he greeted me. It was a different way of greeting me than he usually had ... I had so much peace because I really had been just praying that I don't want to be in another relationship that's not going to be the one. I think it worked out for the best since he seems to be very happy with Vienna.

On getting back into the dating scene

Oh my goodness, I'm really overwhelmed with this new dating scene. I haven't really been a part of a dating scene for awhile besides with Jake, so I'm excited. I think I'm going to kind of take it verrrrry slow. I'm excited to see where it leads me. I think I'm going to start out with mutual friends.

On staying friends with Jake and Vienna

I really hope that Jake and I can have a friendship. It will obviously be difficult and I want to respect him and his engagement to Vienna because they are engaged and happy together. I would never, ever want to come in the way of that. As long as Vienna is okay with it. I never really got to know Vienna. We didn't interact much at all ... the only time I really spent some time with her was in San Francisco. We were all very busy. I wouldn't mind getting to know her!

On Ali as the next Bachelorette

I'm so excited for Ali to be the next Bachelorette. I think she's going to be excellent at it. She's going to have a blast ... I wouldn't even mind if she wants to call me and ask me for advice! Maybe me and some of the other girls could even come and scope out some of those guys for her. Maybe one of those guys won't be Ali's type but he'll be my type. [laughs] Oh, I can't wait to have a reunion with the other girls. I haven't talked to any of them and I hope to stay in touch with them because I built some really great friendships that I think will be life-long.

On doing anything differently during her time on "The Bachelor"

I wouldn't change a thing that I did. I was being me and my goal was to be me and let somebody fall in love with who I was. To just know that I was putting myself out there and not portraying somebody else so I wouldn't get stuck in a relationship that I had to conform for. I don't regret anything, I wouldn't take back anything and I wouldn't try anything else. My only strategy was being myself and I think it ended the way it was supposed to end.

On her life after "The Bachelor"

Now I'm just back to work like normal at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I'm so happy, they're a great family to me, so supportive. This opportunity has definitely given me more of a voice than I've ever had before, so hopefully I can use it for some great things. There's actually an organization I'm really excited to work with called Live Love. It's showing people how to love by action, so I'm really excited to work with that. Just positive things, I hope, and just back to my normal life and maybe some dating in the near future.

she is a true sweetheart

She's going to be just fine...she's a smart and attractive woman who has her head in the right place, unlike these two nimrods in Jake and Vienna...which won't last much longer.

She doesn't really seem that broken up about Jake not picking her. I don't think she was that upset about it. I do like Tenley, but she def was not the one for Jake!

oh and I should also say that Jake certainly wasn't the one for her. :)

She's a loser twice. FIRST for agreeing to be on this embarassment of a show and second because a bigger loser rejected her.

She does win for not getting stuck with this douche and have to have sex him because of this sick show.

She's a sweet chick, but I think she's just a 'yes' woman 'cause she's afraid to get hurt. She needs to keep lovin' Tenley and she'll be fine.
Jake..the thing that was missing..it was ****...**** and immaturity. Tink'll leave Peter when she get's board.

**** are breasts!

Jake I think made the biggest mistake ever. If Tenley was going to be the next Bachelorette even though im 14... I would apply! She is the most gorgeous girl I have seen and from only watching the last few epidsodes she is an amazing person. Thank you Jake for making another guy the luckiest guy around :)

Because Tenley said she had not even kissed anybody since her ex husband, I think there could have been some personal pressure and expectation going on for her. Maybe Jake picked up on this because he said he "was forcing" things somehow, just like it sometimes happens when we feel like we are expected to say or do something. You know that feeling?

Jake didn't step outside his "comfort zone" at all with Vienna; I found her sincere but she is just like all the emotionally-driven women that are in his comfort zone ... none that worked out. Good luck trying to get mutual understanding from an emotional 23 year old.

Tenley had my vote when she helped Jake work through his faux pax on the boat ... THIS is marriage. Tenley is genuine and will make a great "teammate" for a wonderful man.

Tenley is an amazingly mature and genuinely nice woman (more so than some of the other contestants). I'm SO glad to hear that she believes it worked out the way it was meant to. Jake clearly isn't ready for her level of class.
So-I do wish her all the best with her supportive co-workers, her family, and getting back into the dating
scene. Also for her innovative idea about a nonprofit program dealing with living a life of love. I think just about all of America fell in love with Tenley! Go girl...:)
