'The Bachelorette': Ali Fedotowsky will get to do the choosing

jake-pavelka-ali-fedotowsky-bachelor-wings-of-love-large-abc.jpgComing as no surprise to anyone, Ali Fedotowsky was announced as the next "Bachelorette" on Monday (Mar. 1) night's "After the Final Rose" reunion special following "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" finale, wherein Bachelor Jake Pavelka picked Vienna Giradi.

Fedotowsky was a fan favorite on this season of "The Bachelor" and made it to the Final Four. Following a successful hometown date with Pavelka and telling him that that she wanted to be there at the end and that if he asked her she would say "yes" (we're assuming to the big matrimonial question), upon returning to Los Angeles she tearfully told him that she had to leave the show.

Rumor has it was because she was afraid of losing her job at Facebook.

The very next episode she was crying and calling Pavelka on his St. Lucia getaway with the Final Three begging to return to the show only to be turned down, even though Pavelka later said she'd been his "frontrunner."

Right after her rejection aired, Fedotowsky told inquiring reporters: "I'm flattered and I really feel great that people think that ABC would consider me for such a wonderful opportunity [as being 'The Bachelorette']."

Now that she is, she will have to get her head in the game and keep it there. Since word on the Internet is that she's quit her job (her last day was last Friday), that shouldn't be too hard. Unless she's worried about leaving the show without a fiance or a paycheck.

"I'm not going to let fear dictate my life anymore," Fedotowsky told "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison on Monday night, comparing the apprehension that started to set in when she learned that she got the gig to her feelings when she started to get more and more involved with Pavelka.

I hate that it is Ali. I would have preferred Tinley

Hi, if Ali is the next bachelorette, I will never, never watch this show again. She wanted to force Jakes hand. She wanted it her way, she is very self absorbed and was the reason people got the wrong impression of Vienna. What are the producers thinking or not? I did not like or agree with her spoiled attitude she seems very confussed and acted like such a spoiled brat. Never, never watch again. You just lost a viewer. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING.? VIEWERS ARE YOU BREAD AND BUTTER.

i couldnt stand Ali the whole season so wont be watching at all next season Bad choice!

I think ABC made the right choice. Ali is the best and I wish her luck and happiness. GO ALI - I will be watching and cheering for you til the end...

I won't be waqtching. Ali is a bad choice.

I was hoping that Tenley would be the next bachelorette. I am not sure if I want to watch the next Bachelorette show this May with Ali. I just don't like Ali. I mean, since she left the show and choose her job over Jake and now she's the next bachelorette. What about her job? That does not make any sense!!!

She comes off like a VERY jealous person. ALSO not watching

Word in SanFran is that ABC is testing the romantic waters with Ali Fedotowsky and Reid Rosenthal (DeAnna's season). The network is currently in talks with Reid about returning to The Bachelorette as a contestant for Fedotowsky's heart. It's rumored that network execs firmly believe that a Rosenthal/Fedotowsky match would be ideal.

shut up bouth u jealous jerks. Ali is the best ok she is BEST

You go Ali. I picked you from the beginning and I hope you find happiness.
