'Supernatural': Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles say punches will be thrown

Over the last two seasons, "Supernatural" brothers Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have been drifting apart, to put it mildly. In the war of demons vs. angels, Sam is Lucifer's most essential weapon, and Dean is heaven's only hope. Talk about sibling rivalry.
With the tension that's been building between the brothers, fans want to know what it'll take to repair Sam and Dean's relationship. Zap2it was on the scene at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural convention in Los Angeles to get some answers from Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.
"For Sam and Dean to be like they were in Season 1? It's like drug addiction," Ackles says. "You have to hit rock bottom before you can get back up."
"I think they have to have a big clash to work it all out," Padalecki agrees. "We need to see them be apart for a while. And then we'll just wait 'til September to see episode one!"
Is that a hint that the Season 5 finale might not end with Sam and Dean on friendly terms? Ackles fills us in on Sam and Dean's upcoming fight scene, explaining that it's easier to do the choreographed fights with Jared because after five years of working together, they can easily read each other's cues.
"It's always good to go up against Jared, especially during fight scenes," he says. "Especially since we know each other so well. I won't give anything away, but the other day Sam and Dean had a bit of a tussle."
"Rock bottom!" Padalecki interrupts teasingly. Uh-oh! Don't worry, fans, you're not the only ones who want Sam and Dean to reconcile.
"I don't think it'll ever be like it was!" Jensen wails, pretending to get emotional and wiping away imaginary tears. "So much has changed!"

the two js are just so adorable! they have such amazing chemistry both on and off screen. seeing j and j live getting along so splendidly luckily helps whil sam and dean are still at odds.
Exactly, Nic. We've been there, done that, and have the scars to show for it. The boys have been at odds for more than a season now, and have already thrown punches (and more) and left each other. Isn't that enough? I vote for a permanent brotherly reconciliation. BEFORE S6.

I am so sick of Sam and Dean being separate. Wasn't rock bottom last season? Seriously, haven't they been trying to reconcile all season? This is being dragged out way too long.
well i think u guys r crazy i dont exactly love the idea of them fighting all tha time and i do think last year was enough of clashing but with all that's happened idk about u guys but i love that the writers were more realistic than most other shows on tv it's like dealing with ur problems for hunters u know like those dummy books but i would never call them dumb lol well i gotta bounce but u know where to find me supernatural411@gmail.com

Well, I dare to disagree with you. If they separate the brother again, they will be dumb in my opinion. Awful move from the writers part.
